Dorothy Lee Walsh, 84, Of Yorktown

YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Dorothy Lee Walsh, 84, of Yorktown Heights died Sunday, June 14.

Born in 1930, in Newark, N.J., to Lee Lamar Andrews and Agnes Deans Andrews, she grew up in Springfield, N.J., and attended Seton Hall College. She worked in the teaching and medical fields but was best known as "The Avon Lady" for more than 50 years.

She married James E. Walsh in 1957.

She will best be remembered for her charming outgoing nature, love of sports and bragging about her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Sharon and husband, Dale, of Millerton, N.Y., Maureen of Scarsdale, N.Y.; Andrew and John of Yorktown Heights, and Mark of Bardonia, N.Y.; three grandchildren; her brother Dr. Robert Andrews, and his wife, Rosette.

Her husband died in 1978. 

Calling hours are Wednesday, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home, 2104 Saw Mill River Road, Yorktown Heights.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 137 Moseman Road, Yorktown Heights.

Interment will follow at Amawalk Cemetery.
