YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Yorktown Heights resident Dr. Allan S. Markowitz died Sunday, Jan. 10. He was 66.
Markowitz practiced ophthalmology for 30 years in Jefferson Valley after graduating from Rutgers University and Albert Einstein Medical College.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; a son Lee; and stepsons Michael and Peter Simon.
There are no services currently scheduled.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Yorktown Police Department, Fire Department and Ambulance Corps, which had taken care of the family. Donations can also be made to the National Ataxia Foundation, by clicking here.
