Frances Joy Hutton, 87, Of Yorktown Heights

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Frances Joyce Hutton, a longtime resident of Yorktown Heights, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016. She was 87. 

Hutton taught English at Yorktown High School for many years. She also was a successful real estate agent for Frances Billingsley. 

She was born in New York City to Francis and Rosemary (Morrissey) Joyce. She resided with her family in Tuckahoe, where she was a communicant at Immaculate Conception Church. She graduated from Aquinas High School in the Bronx then earned a BA with honors from Good Counsel College in White Plains and a master’s degree from Western Connecticut State University.

In 1951, she married Charles P. Hutton at Immaculate Conception Church in Tuckahoe. 

She enjoyed spending time in her garden. 

She is survived by her husband, Charles P. Hutton Sr.; sons, Charles P. Hutton Jr. and his wife Patricia and Robert F. Hutton and his wife Myra; daughters, Lynn H. Cater and her husband Barent and Patricia H. Marino and her husband Mark; grandchildren, Charles P. (Alison) Hutton III, Sean Hutton, Michael (Katelyn) Hutton, Ryan Hutton, Katie Hutton, Cynthia (Robert) Pascuzzi, Kimberly (Matthew) Petre, Tara (Peter)Borstelmann, Danielle O’Connell, Brendan O’Connell and Kassie Marino; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert E. (Karen) Joyce and Edgar M. (Anne) Joyce; brother-in-law, Paul C. Hutton; and several nieces and nephews. 

Calling hours are from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Monday at Clark Funeral Home, 2104 Saw Mill River Road, Yorktown Heights. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick’s Church, 137 Moseman Road, Yorktown Heights. Interment will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley. 

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation or Hospice Care in Westchester and Putnam.
