YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. — Francis W. Proceller, of Yorktown Heights, died Friday, March 27 after losing a long battle with lung cancer. He was 88.
Proceller was a New York City firefighter before retiring in 1983 and was a dedicated member of the First Presbyterian Church of Yorktown.
He was predeceased by his wife Gladys and daughter Kathleen, and is survived by his daughter Dee, who cared for him during his illness, son-in-law Matt, son and daughter-in-law Bill and Lexie, and granddaughters Kelsey and Charlotte.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday (today) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home, located at 2104 Saw Mill River Road in Yorktown Heights.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 1, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Yorktown, located at 2880 Crompond Road in Yorktown Heights, followed by interment at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla.
