YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. Gertrude Crooke Murphy, a longtime Yorktown Heights resident, died June 15. She was 92.
Murphy received a bachelor's degree in mathematics in 1941 from the College of Mount St. Vincent in Riverdale, N.Y. She married Joseph G. Murphy Sr. in 1943. Murphy was a parishioner and former teacher at St. Patrick's Church.
She is survived by eight children. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, in 2002.
Calling hours are from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Clark Funeral Home in Yorktown Heights. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday at New St. Patrick's Church in Yorktown Heights. Burial will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley, N.Y.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the College of Mount St. Vincent Alumni Association, 6301 Riverdale Ave., Riverdale, NY 10471.
