Hudson Valley Entrepreneur Donald Knueppel Dies At 32

Donald Knueppel, an entrepreneur and longtime resident of the area, died on Thursday, Feb. 8 at Campbell Hall Rehabilitation Center in the Town of Hamptonburgh. He was 32.

The son of Robert Knueppel Jr. and Michele Wallentine, he was born on July 8, 1985 in Jersey City. Donnie enjoyed WWE Wrestling, karaoke, dancing, sports, drawing, singing, and playing video games. He also enjoyed meeting new people, spending time with his family and friends, and was a real ladies' man.

Family would describe Donnie as a kind, compassionate, and free-spirited soul. 

Survivors include his children, Donald Knueppel Jr., and Edward Moscatiello, parents, Michele Wallentine and Robert Knueppel Jr., stepfather John Pucino, siblings, Allison Gross and her husband Brian, Lindsay Knueppel, Robert Knueppel and his fiancé Kristen Porpora, and 1 fur brother, Opie. He is further survived by his step-siblings, Sharon and her husband Albi, Courtney and her husband Eric, Morgan, Angelina, and John John, many aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as the mother of his child and best friend Jennie Pearson of Middletown.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 14 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd., in Pine Bush. Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will take place at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
