James E. Hannah, Longtime Yorktown Heights, Retired IBM Employee

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. - James E. (Jim) Hannah, a resident of Yorktown Heights for 39 years, died June 28. He was 76.

Hannah was born on October 23, 1936, in Gary, Indiana, son of Glenn F. and Elizabeth Hannah. He graduated from Depauw University, and the University of Michigan MBA program. He retired from IBM in 2001 after a 40 year career in management. He served his communities over the years as a Cub scout leader, a member of the school board, and as a town election inspector.

Hannah is survived by his wife, Carol; sons, James W. (Antonia) of Yorktown, John P. (Nancy) of Brewster, and Peter G. (Jennifer) of Shoreline, Wash.; and  three grandchildren.

Calling hours are Friday, July 5 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Yorktown Funeral Home , 945 E. Main St., Shrub Oak.  A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6 at the First Presbyterian Church of Yorktown,  2880 Crompond Road, Yorktown Heights.  Interment will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 101 Mill St., Putnam Valley.
