YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Richard Hudec, 79, of Yorktown Heights, passed away peacefully July 10, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jeannie (Duris) Hudec; his children Karen Rosenthal and husband Craig of Montebello, Stephanie Fox and husband John of Brewster; and five grandchildren, Alexander, Ashley and Alessia Rosenthal, and Cassandra and Jack Fox.
Hudec was born Oct. 22, 1935, in New York City, to the late Paul and Helen (Urda) Hudec. He graduated from Stuyvesant High School and New York University before working for the Hartford Insurance Company for his entire career.
Hudec was an active Freemason for more than 50 years, serving in many positions with Manitou Lodge No. 106 then working to form Consolidated Lodge No. 31 of the First Manhattan District.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Cargain Funeral Home, 418 US Route 6, Mahopac.
A funeral service will be conducted at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx.
