Robert J. Mode, 93, Of Yorktown Heights, WWII And Korean War Veteran

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. - Robert J. Mode of Yorktown Heights died Tuesday, Nov. 25. He was 93.

Mode was born Nov. 16, 1921, in Ridgewood, N.J., to Joseph and Elizabeth Mode. He was raised in White Plains and graduated from White Plains High School and from LSU. He worked in the hotel industry and as a surveyor after being discharged from both World War II and the Korean wars. Later, he worked for Westchester Country Club, Waterbury Country Club and Rye Racquet Clubs as the tennis professional.

Mode is survived by his nephews, Scott and Dwight. He was predeceased by his parents.
