Robert Mann, 78, Of Shrub Oak

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Robert Mann, a longtime resident of Shrub Oak, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2013.  He was 78.  

Mann brought his love of life and music to all who knew him.  He was proud to be an American Indian from the Lenne Lenape tribe.  Bob’s word was his bond, his handshake was gold and his unwavering loyalty to his family and friends was second to none.  He would tell his children,“Be gentle, there is strength in that.”  

Bob was the son of Herman and Luella Mann, brother to fourteen loving brothers and sisters, and the loving husband of the late Bette Lou Bischoff-Mann. 

He is survived by his children Robert Arthur Mann, Tracy Sue Mann-Tegtmeier and her husband Richard Tegtmeier and Gregory Howard Mann.  He is also survived by six grandchildren Jacob Robert Mann, Taylor “Tate” Nicole Tegtmeier, Kirsten Brooke Tegtmeier, Richard Robert Tegtmeier, Gregory Robert Mann and Isabella Blou Mann, all living in the Westchester County area. 

Calling hours will be held on Friday, Dec. 20 from 2:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Yorktown Heights. 

The funeral service will be held Saturday, Dec. 21 10:15 a.m., also at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Cortlandt Manor. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rosary Hill Home, 600 Linda Avenue, Hawthorne, NY  10532.
