Stephen Boucher, 88, Of Yorktown Heights, Former Fire Commissioner

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. - Stephen Boucher of Yorktown Heights died Dec. 28. He was 88.

Boucher was born Oct. 3, 1925, in the Bronx, to Stephen and Alice Boucher. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married Theresa Thompson Feb. 3, 1951, and in 1956 moved to Yorktown to raise their family. He was a life member of the Yorktown Heights Engine Co. #1 and was the former fire commissioner of the Yorktown Fire District. He was an usher at St. Patrick's Church for over 50 years.

Boucher is survived by his wife, Theresa; daughters, Patricia Schratz (Paul), Susan Muccilli (Nick) and Stephanie Boucher; brother, Robert Boucher; and four grandchildren.

Calling hours are Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Yorktown Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2014 at St. Patrick's Church. Interment to follow at Amawalk Hill Cemetery.
