Vincent Joseph Pinelli, 87, Of Yorktown

YORKTOWN, N.Y. - Vincent Joseph Pinelli of Yorktown died Sept. 7. He was 87.

Pinelli was born May 24, 1926, in the Bronx and moved to Pelham in 1956 where he resided until Feb. 2013 when he moved to Yorktown. He served in the U.S. Navy and was an auxiliary policeman in Pelham. He was a plumber for over 50 years and was active with the Pelham Civic Association and the Senior Citizens.

Pinelli is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Benguhe; daughters, Laura McElroy and Lisa Dwyer; son in law, Robert McElroy; six grandchildren; and twin granddaughters; and sister, Gae Ingrassia (Joseph). 

Calling hours are Wednesday, 9/11 from 2-5 PM and 7-9 PM at Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Ave. Pelham. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12 at St. Catherine's Church on First Ave. in Pelham.

The family asks that donations be made to Hospice.
