YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. - Virginia "Ginger" Andersen of Yorktown Heights died May 6. She was 82.
Andersen was born May 20, 1931, in Yonkers, to Archer and Ethel (Dillion) Newsome.
Andersen is survived by her son, James (Patricia) of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; son, David (Elizabeth) of Putnam Valley; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Ethel Bargellini and Alberta Ryan; brother, John (Carol) Newsome; many cousins, nieces, nephews; and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, Hother "Hickey" Andersen.
Calling hours are Wednesday, May 8 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, May 9 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Yorktown Heights. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, May 10 at St. Patrick's Church in Yorktown Heights. Burial to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Hastings-on-Hudson.
