SHRUB OAK, N.Y. William E. Oubina of Shrub Oak died Sunday, Sept. 30. He was 82.
He was born July 22, 1930, in Peekskill to Emil and Josephine Oubina. He married Helen Woodard on April 26, 1952, at St. Patrick's Church in Yorktown Heights. Oubina was active with the Seniors in Yorktown. A member of Local 137, he worked as an operating engineer for Wilson and Criniti and retired in 1995.
Oubina is survived by his wife, Helen; two children, W. Roger Oubina and Lori Jean Oubina; two sisters, Catherine Brickicker and Dolores Stein; a brother, Richard Oubina; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Yorktown Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Shrub Oak. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Cortlandt.
