Dear Editor,
It is hard to believe I won’t have to travel to White Plains or Danbury or Poughkeepsie to find good retail stores. The announcement on Friday about the Jefferson Valley Mall’s renovation will keep me right here in my own backyard. Having the option to shop local is not only a matter of convenience but I am proud to support my local economy. With the mall breathing new life, it will also help the local stores along Route 6 by keeping local shoppers here and by having out of town visitors purchase goods from them as well. I hope my neighbors can truly recognize the importance of this project and applaud the leadership of Senator Murphy and Supervisor Grace for following through on this promise. It is refreshing to have leadership that we can trust to deliver on their word!
