To the editor:
I have lived in Yorktown for the past 25 years. My wife Adrienne is a first-grade teacher in our school district, and both of my children grew up here and graduated from Yorktown High School.
I have been a practicing trial attorney for more than 30 years. I have spent virtually my entire career in courtrooms large and small. I have argued appeals in some of our highest courts, tried cases in Supreme Court, and handled local matters right here in Yorktown Justice Court. I have met and interacted with more judges than I could possibly count. I have seen the good and the bad, and I can certainly recognize the difference.
Judge Gary Raniolo has an impeccable resume in both criminal (he's a former assistant district attorney) and civil areas. Experience in these areas is critical since they encompass the vast majority of the cases in our court.
Gary Raniolo is passionate and diligent. He is a hard worker and is always prepared on even the most complex legal issues.
What strikes me the most, however, is his compassion. He cares about all that come before him, whether it’s a troubled youth or local businessman. He gets it right. He is the type of judge this town needs and deserves.
Gary is an active member of our community: Relay for Life, ASK, Youth Court, Mock Trial team, the Heroin Task Force, the list goes on.
Gary Raniolo is the best man for this job and our town. I am voting for Judge Gary Raniolo so he can continue to do the outstanding job that he is doing for our community.
