Dear Editor:

I am writing to urge all Yorktown voters to participate in the upcoming special election on March 10 to fill two vacancies on the Town Board. In the race to fill the seat of former councilman Nick Bianco, I am endorsing Bob Giordano. I’ve known Bob for more than 10 years. In that time, Bob has been fully engaged in the civic life of Yorktown. He’s volunteered countless hours of his time to make our town a better place, including service on the Planning Board and Landmarks Preservation Commission.

His recent endeavor, founding the Yorktown Small Business Association, shows his commitment to this vital sector of the community. As Bob says, "Yorktown cannot thrive if its small businesses are neglected." Bob also is well-versed on issues of environmental quality and will work hard on the Town Board to see that future development is done responsibly. Bob knows government cannot solve all our problems. But government, working with an engaged citizenry and local businesses, can do a lot to move Yorktown forward. We need Bob’s commitment and passion on the Town Board. Please vote on March 10 and make your voice heard.

Sincerely,

William Kellner
