18-Year-Old Charged With Causing $700 In Damage To Pickup Truck In Dover

DOVER, N.Y. -- State Police charged an 18-year-old Dover resident on Wednesday with scratching and damaging a pick-up truck.

Police charged Jonathan C. Paulsen with criminal mischief in the third degree, a Class E felony.

Troopers were dispatched to a Dover residence for a criminal mischief complaint on Sunday. The female victim reported to police that someone had scratched her Dodge pick-up truck, causing approximately $700 worth of damage.

Investigation revealed that Paulsen had scratched the victim’s truck, causing an indentation to the vehicle’s body, according to police.

Paulsen was arraigned before the Town of Amenia Court and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear before the Town of Dover Court on Friday.
