Bronx Man Faces Assault Charge in Yorktown

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – Na’Quan Anderson, a 16-year-old Bronx resident, was arrested by Yorktown police and charged with second-degree assault on Friday, Oct. 24.

Police say they were called to investigate an assault complaint. Following an investigation, police found that Anderson struck a 17-year-old victim in the face with a ceramic bowl, causing physical injury, according to police. The Mohegan Volunteer Ambulance Corps transported the victim to Hudson Valley Hospital Center for treatment, according to police. Anderson was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.

After processing, Anderson was arraigned and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. Anderson is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 6 p.m.
