A Carmel man was charged with menacing and harassment after hitting officers with his cane, according to the Carmel Police.
David Berletic, 62, was recently arrested after officers responded to Putnam Hospital for a disorderly subject who fled into the woods nearby, police said.
After officers located Berletic in the woods, he began swinging his cane at the officers and struck them with it, police added.
Following his arrest, Berletic was released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.
