YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police arrested a man from New London, Conn. for second-degree alleged criminal contempt.
According to the Yorktown Police Department, Jeremiah B. Herring, 37, reportedly sent a text message Oct. 15 to a female Yorktown resident in violation of an order of protection. Herring was arrested in Elmsford later that morning, police said.
Herring was remanded to the custody of the Westchester County Department of Corrections after he could not post bail. He is scheduled to answer the charge Thursday in Yorktown Court.
