Connecticut Man Arrested For Failure To Appear In Yorktown Court

YORKTOWN, N.Y. – A Brookfield, Conn. man has been arrested for failing to appear in Yorktown Justice Court in 2010, police said.

Justin McCurdy, 25, of 46 Hearthstone Drive, was arrested on Feb. 5 on a bench warrant.

On June 22, 2010, McCurdy failed to appear in Yorktown Justice Court to answer to charges of aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree and bail jumping, police said The court issued the bench warrant.

On Feb. 5, McCurdy was stopped by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office for a vehicle and traffic violation at Route 6 in Somers, police said. The sheriff's office then notified Yorktown Police.

At about 2 a.m., a sheriff's deputy responded to the Somers Commons and arrested McCurdy on the warrants.

McCurdy was then transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.

He was arraigned in Yorktown Justice Court and was taken to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail. He is to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday.
