A police officer was assigned to invesgiate a past larceny that occurred at Sears at 600 Lee Blvd., according to police. Following an investigation, its alleged that between February, 2015 and May, 2015, Basquiat stole $17,204 from Sears by creating false merchandise returns and removing cash from the register, police said.
Basquiat was released on $7,500 cash bail and is scheduled to appear at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Yorktown Justice Court
