Jose Reinoso was reportedly pinned underneath a vehicle on Navaho Street at around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, according to a report from the Yorktown Police Department. Reinoso was transported by Mohegan Volunteer Ambulance to Hudson Valley Hospital Center where he was pronounced dead on arrival, police said.
Reinoso was working at a rented garage on Navaho Street when he was observed being pinned under a truck by workers on the scene, who then lifted the truck and puled Reinosa out from under the vehicle, according to the police report.
The cause of death is "under investigation," according to the report. The Yorktown Police Department, Westchester County Medical Examiner's Office, the United States Department of Labor Occupational Safety & Health Administration are conducting the investigation.
