Crompond Resident Charged With Driving With A Suspended License

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – A Crompond resident was recently charged with driving with a suspended license, according to the Yorktown Police Department.

Paulo M. Ferreira, 20, of Briar Lane, is charged with misdemeanor aggravated unlicensed operation and the traffic violation of an uninspected motor vehicle, police said.

About 10:20 a.m., Sunday, police said they spotted Ferreira on Main Street driving a gray Volkswagen with an expired inspection sticker.

Upon further investigation, they learned that Ferreira’s New York State driver’s license was suspended, according to the police report.

Officers arrested Ferreira at the scene and he was released on a $100 bond.

Ferreira is scheduled to answer to the charges in Yorktown Town Court at 6 p.m. on April 2.
