Fire Contained At Yorktown Strip Mall, But Smoke Damages Several Shops

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Firefighters were able to contain a blaze that originated in a Yorktown Chinese restaurant in the Roma Building at Yorktown Triangle Intersection on Wednesday night, but smoke damaged several neighboring businesses, according to News 12 Westchester.

The fire started at the junction of Route 35 and Route 202 on Saw Mill River Road occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m., and it took responders roughly 30 minutes to find the source of the flames, News 12 Westchester said. 

Fire damage was minimal, but several businesses in the two-level strip mall suffered smoke damage, News 12 Westchester reported.
