YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. --  Four youth were caught inside a local house without the owner's permission and charged with criminal trespassing, according to the Yorktown Police Department.

The teens, whose names are being withheld due to their ages, were inside a home at 3661 Cooper St., when police received a call from the homeowner saying four men were in his home, police said.

When police arrived, two of the teens surrendered to police and two others hid in the attic until they were captured by officers, police said.

The teens from, Peekskill, Yorktown, Mohegan Lake and Putnam Valley, were all charged with criminal trespass; two were charged with resisting arrest. One was released on $300 bail; another on $200 bail, and two were released on their own recognizance.

They are all due to appear in court on Jan. 3.
