Troopers received a complaint of a larceny on Maple Lane in the town of Clinton on Oct. 5. An investigation determined that Jason M. Conlon forged 12 checks in the victim’s name and stole approximately $47,000 in U.S. currency, police said.
Conlon was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 31 and charged with possession of a forged instrument in the second degree and grand larceny in the third degree, both Class D felonies.
Conlon was arraigned before the town of Clinton Court and released on his own recognizance to the care of his attorney. Conlon is next scheduled to appear before the court on March 1.
