Washington Avenue resident Ronnie Bordin, 60, was taken into custody at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Thursday by officers from the Westchester County Police Narcotics Unit and the Yonkers Police Department following the investigation by a county narcotics task force.
Members of the Westchester County Heroin and Opioid Task Force, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Diversion Task Force and Pleasantville Police Department assisted local police in executing the warrant at Bordin’s Pleasantville residence, which netted the drugs and cash.
Following the successful execution of the warrant, Bordin was charged with one count of second-degree criminal possession of marijuana and three counts of criminal sale of marijuana. He was then turned over to the Yonkers Police Department on Thursday night and was expected to be arraigned on Friday in Yonkers.
“This investigation, which was launched based on a tip from the Drug Enforcement Administration, is another example of the tremendous partnership that exists between federal law enforcement and police departments in Westchester County. I would like to commend our Narcotics Unit and our federal and local partners in this investigation for bringing it to a successful conclusion,” acting Commissioner Martin McGlynn of the Westchester County Police said in a statement.
“Bordin’s drug delivery service was literally bringing drugs to front doors throughout Westchester County and New York City,” DEA Special Agent in Charge James Hunt added. “Working with our law enforcement partners, we were able to arrest the head of this organization that was responsible for enabling drug use and abuse throughout our communities.”
