YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – Maher Jamal, a Jefferson Valley resident, has been charged with attempted assault in the third degree after he allegedly caused physical injury to a female victim on Sunday, according to Yorktown police.
Police said they responded to Main Street for a domestic incident complaint. Following an investigation at the scene, its alleged that Jamal was involved in an incident which caused injury to a female, police said. Jamal voluntarily appeared at Yorktown police headquarters on Sunday where he was placed under arrest, according to police.
Jamal was arraigned in Yorktown Justice Court and he is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, April 9 at 6 p.m.
