LaGrange Man Menaces Victim With Shotgun, Police Say

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. - A weeklong investigation led to the arrest of a Dutchess County man is facing a misdemeanor charge after allegedly threatening another man with a shotgun.

New York State Police troopers arrested LaGrange resident Carmine Carolei, Sr. on Thursday following an investigation that began into a domestic incident on Jan. 18.

Troopers were dispatched to a Beaver Road residence in LaGrange on Jan. 18, following reports of menacing. Police said that the investigation into the incident determined that Carolei had menaced his victim using a shotgun.

Carolei was arrested on Thursday and charged with second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor. He was released on his own recognizance and is due back in the Town of LaGrange Court on Feb. 6 to answer the charge.
