YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – Adam S. Travis, a Mahopac resident, was charged Wednesday with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor, and failing to stop at a stop sign, according to Yorktown police.
Police said an officer was traveling west on East Main Street when he observed a vehicle allegedly pass through a stop sign without stopping. The vehicle was stopped for the traffic infraction and the operator was identified as Travis, police said. Following a Department of Motor Vehicles check, the officer found out that Travis was operating the vehicle with a revoked New York state driver’s license, according to police.
Travis was arrested at the scene and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. Following processing, Travis was issued an appearance ticket and released to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, May 7.
