Mahopac Resident Charged With Bail Jumping In Yorktown

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have arrested a 21-year-old Mahopac resident on a bail jumping charge.

Officers took custody of Celina Marie Savoca from Putnam County Sheriff’s officers on Friday, March 4, about 12:56 a.m., officials report.

The suspect was accused of failing to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on the dates required, or voluntarily within 30 days thereafter, police report.

Savoca was transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. She was charged with two counts of bail jumping in the third degree, a class A misdemeanor, according to police.

Bail in the case was set at $1,500 cash or $3,000 bond, officials report.

Savoca was unable to post bail, and was sent to the custody of the Westchester County Jail, according to officials.

The defendant is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, police report.
