Mahopac Woman Arrested In Yorktown Shoplifting Case

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – A Mahopac woman was arrested recently and accused of shoplifting merchandise from a Yorktown store, according to a press release from the Yorktown Police Department.

Lisa M. Bates, 49, of Boniello Drive, Mahopac, is charged with misdemeanor petit larceny, police said.

The charge stemmed from an incident that happened at Decicco’s supermarket on Thursday, May 7, according to police.

Bates was accused of picking up items with a value of $122.64 and trying to leave the store without paying for the merchandise, police said.

She was released after her arrest, according to police, and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, June 9.
