Police said an officer was on routine patrol on Route 6 when he observed a vehicle fail to maintain its traffic lane. The officer initiated a traffic stop and a breath test determined that Melucci's blood alcohol content was .18 percent or higher, leading to the aggravated DWI charge, according to police.
Melucci was processed and released to a family member after posting $100 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on May 5 at 6 p.m. for arraignment.
