Man Arrested After Failing To Appear In Court, Yorktown Police Say

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A Connecticut man who had been wanted on drug possession charges surrendered to authorities last week, Yorktown police said.

Yorktown police have accused a 21-year-old Connecticut man of seventh-degree drug possession. Ethan S. Gaudet now faces additional charges of failure to show up in court.

Ethan S. Gaudet, 21, of Somers, Conn., was supposed to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, March 7, to answer charges of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, police said.

When he failed to show, the judge issued a warrant for his arrest, police said.

Police said that Gaudet turned himself in on Thursday, March 9.

Bail was set a $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond, which Gaudet was unable to make. He was turned over to the custody of the Westchester Department of Corrections.

Gaudet is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, March 14.
