MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. – A 30-year-old Mount Kisco man is facing an assault charge after allegedly punching another man during a fight at the RiteAid store on South Moger Avenue, according to police.

Erik Landaverry-Lemus, of Columbus Avenue, was arrested about 4:40 p.m. on Feb. 12, according to police, who said he is accused of punching the other man “several times.”

Landaverry-Lemus faces a misdemeanor count of third-degree assault, according to police, who said he was released without bail and is to answer to the charge in Mount Kisco Town Court on Feb. 23.

The South Moger Avenue incident was one of several in the past days that required a Westchester County police presence.

On Valentine’s Day, police responded to the area of East Main Street and North Moger Avenue after a man was reported to be harassing employees at two local businesses, according to police.

Officers spoke with the business owners and then told the man that he would face trespassing charges if he returned to the grounds, according to authorities.

On Friday, Feb. 17, officers responded to separate early morning calls on North Bedford Road.

The first came about 1:45 a.m. after police received a report that a customer was “causing a disturbance” inside a CVS store, according to police. By the time officers arrived at the scene, the customer had left.

Less then 90 minutes later – at 3:12 a.m., officers and Mount Kisco firefighters responded to the Stop & Shop store at 195 N. Bedford Road after a “small fire” was reported in a compressor room.

Officials arrived to find that a store employee had extinguished the blaze. According to police, one store employee was treated for a minor injury at the scene.
