Man Charged With Dumping After Discarding Knife, Yorktown Police Say

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Steven T. Meyerson was charged on Friday, Nov. 14, with dumping after he discarded a large hunting knife in a New York State right-of-way off the eastbound shoulder of Crompond Road, a violation of the Yorktown Town Code.

Police say they received a call reporting a possible dumping and officers were dispatched to the area, and following an investigation, they arrested Meyerson. 

Following processing at police headquarters, Meyerson, 54, was arraigned and held at the Westchester County Jail on $250 bail. Meyerson is scheduled to answer the charge in Yorktown Court on Tuesday, Nov. 25.
