YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Yorktown police charged a Bronx man with violating a protective order on Wednesday after emailing the victim, according to the Yorktown Police.

Louis Curcio, 46, of the Bronx, was charged with violating the protective order after a resident came to the Yorktown Police Department to report that they had been contacted by Curcio by email in violation of a court order, police said.

Officers contacted Curcio and he surrendered himself at the police department on Thursday, police said.

He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 5.
