Man Possessed Ecstasy, Meth After Being Pulled Over In Yorktown

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y.-- A 45-year-old man was arrested for drug charges and multiple traffic violations after being pulled over in Yorktown Wednesday night.

Police arrested a man for possessing ecstasy and a hypodermic needle after stopping him on Saw Mill River Road.

Jerome Perry, a Far Rockaway resident, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor, possession of a hypodermic needle, a Class A misdemeanor, driving with a suspended registration and driving with a broken tail light.

Police said they pulled Perry over on Saw Mill River Road for the tail light, and a computer check revealed his registration was suspended. Further investigation revealed he possessed meth and ecstasy, and a hypodermic needle, police said. He was arrested and transported back to headquarters.

Perry was released on $89 cash bail and is due back in court on May 11.
