A Jefferson Valley man was arrested and charged with menacing Sunday after he threatened a man who was doing lawn work with a knife in a dispute involving property boundaries on Wood Street.
Vincent Lovallo, a 57-year-old Jefferson Valley resident, was arrested and charged with the Class A misdemeanor. Police said they made several unsuccessful attempts to reach Lovallo on Sunday but he finally turned himself in on Monday.
Lovallo was released on $1,000 bail and is due back in court on August 1 at 6 p.m.
In 2006, Lovallo was arrested and charged with five counts of Falsely Reporting an Incident in the 3rd degree, Class A misdemeanors for allegedly making numerous reports to the New York State Office of Children and Family Services Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment claiming child abuse incidents which did not occur.
