YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – James R. McDonald, a 64-year-old Mohegan Lake resident, was charged Sunday with attempted assault in the third degree, a class B misdemeanor, according to Yorktown police.
Police said they responded to Stony Street for report of a physical altercation. McDonald was accused of attempting to cause physical injury to his neighbor by punching the victim in the face.
McDonald was arraigned by a judge who issued a temporary order of protection in favor of the victim and released McDonald on his own recognizance. McDonald is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, May 19, at 6 p.m.
