Mohegan Lake Man Charged With DWI After Reckless Driving Stop

MOHEGAN LAKE, N.Y. -- A Mohegan Lake man is facing several charges after being stopped by state police for allegedly driving while intoxicated on Saturday, according to officials.

Piotr Czajkowsi, 33, was pulled over for allegedly driving at 60 miles per hour through a 30 mph zone and passing other vehicles on a road with double yellow lines in Cortlandt, police said. 

Troopers began to investigate further when they suspected Czajkowsi of being intoxicated. During this time, Czajkowsi allegedly tried to provide troopers with a fake name, police said. 

Czajkowsi was charged with driving while intoxicated, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, reckless driving and false personation. He is scheduled to appear in Cortlandt Court on Friday, police said.
