Mohegan Lake Man Charged With Selling Heroin

YORKTOWN, N.Y. – A 29-year-old Mohegan Lake man has been charged with multiple counts of possession and sale of a controlled substance, along with criminal possession of a weapon, according to police.

On Nov. 2, members of the Yorktown Police Department and the Northern Westchester Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on Lexington Avenue and arrested Perry D. Freeman, officials report.

Freeman allegedly sold heroin to another person on two dates in October, according to police.

Police also allege Freeman was in possession of a large amount of heroin, an illegal, unregistered handgun and hypodermic needles, officials report.

Also arrested at Freeman’s residence was Almina Canoski, 25, of Hopewell Junction, who was allegedly in posession of heroin, according to police.

Freeman was remanded in lieu of bail to the Westchester County Jail, officials report. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Nov. 10 at 6 p.m., according to police.

Canoski was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Dec. 3, police report.
