MOHEGAN LAKE, N.Y. -- New York State Police arrested a Mohegan Lake man for allegedly switching the price tag on an item at Home Depot, according to Patch.com.

The store's loss prevention team alleges that the man switched the price tag on an item he purchased on Wednesday, Nov. 6 in an effort to save $40, Patch.com reported. 

The suspect was charged with petty larceny, according to Patch.com.
