YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – A Mohegan Lake man was recently charged with driving with a suspended license, according to a press release from the Yorktown Police Department.
Roy D. Monaro, 39, was charged with misdemeanor aggravated unlicensed operation and the traffic violation operating a motor vehicle while using a cellphone, according to police.
A police officer said he noticed Monaro driving on Route 6 on Thursday afternoon while using a cellphone.
Upon further investigation, authorities said they learned that Monaro’s driver’s license was suspended because he allegedly failed to answer a summons.
Monaro was arrested and later released on $100 bail, police said.
Monaro is scheduled for a Thursday, June 25, hearing in Yorktown Justice Court, according to the press release.
