Shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28, police were dispatched to Route 202, following multiple reports of an erratic driver. Upon arrival, patrol officers reported that they spotted the vehicle crossing the double yellow lines on the roadway.
A traffic stop was initiated, and it was determined that the operator of the vehicle was 24-year-old Jaime G. Inga, police said. During the subsequent investigation, officers determined that Inga was allegedly operating the vehicle while in an intoxicated condition. He was also driving without a valid license.
Inga was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department, where he was charged with a misdemeanor count of driving while intoxicated, and violations for disobeying pavement markers and driving a motor vehicle without a license. He was issued an appearance ticket and released to the custody of a family member. Inga is due back in court on Tuesday, March 14.
