On Sunday at 9:02 p.m., State Park Police responded to noises similar to gunfire near parking lot #1 at the park, according to Randy Simons, public information officer for the park police.

Simons said police interviewed park patrons who did not notice anything suspicious.

"There are no confirmed reports of gunfire," Simons said. "A canvass of the area did not yield any evidence pointing to gunfire. No arrests have been made."
