Yorktown Police Arrest Man On County Bus

YORKTOWN, N.Y. – A Peekskill man was arrested on a Westchester County bus by Yorktown police Tuesday night for allegedly stealing more than $500 in merchandise from Macy's at the Jefferson Valley Mall.

Ernest Sampson, 54, of North James Street was charged with petty larceny, a class A misdemeanor. He was arrested about 7:45 p.m. on a Bee-Line bus on Lee Road after allegedly fleeing Macy's.

According to police, Sampson took merchandise worth $543.91 from a store display at Macy's and left the store without paying. Sampson was arraigned by Yorktown Town Justice Sal Lagonia and sent to the Westchester County jail without bail.

Harassment: Sejdi Brahimi, 31, of Grant Ave., Mohegan Lake, was charged Saturday, July 7, with second-degree harassment. Police said he verbally harassed two females in the Mohegan Lake area on June 26. Brahimi is due July 24 in Yorktown Town Court.
