Police Accuse Woman Of Shoplifting At Sears In Yorktown

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- A 62-year-old Bronx woman is facing a shoplifting charge after Yorktown police say she tried to take two shirts last week from the Sears store in Yorktown Heights.

Anna Adachowska is charged with misdemeanor petty larceny after police were called at 7 p.m. Thursday to the Sears store, police said. Security officers detained the woman, saying she tried to take two shirts, worth $40 in total, without paying for them, police said.

She was released but is due back in Yorktown Justice Court at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, police said.
